Daniel J. Robinson, EA

Daniel is the President of DJRobinson Accounting; he has 20 years’ experience in the accounting industry.  Dan graduated from Western Michigan University in 1992 with a BA in Accounting and is currently an Enrolled Agent.  He is empowered by the United States Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS.  Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards.  He has earned this elite status and therefore must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses each year.  Enrolled Agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have unlimited practice rights.  This means that he is unrestricted as to which taxpayers he can represent, what types of tax matters he can handle, and which IRS offices he can represent clients before.  He is authorized to practice in every state.

After graduating from Western Michigan University in 1992 with a BA in Accounting, he helped start up an accounting practice located in Charlotte, MI, he went on to purchase that practice five years later.  After successfully developing and growing his practice, Dan merged his skills and practice with CG Financial Services, a Financial Planning Firm located in Haslett, MI, where he was named CFO.  During his seven years with CG Financial Services, he helped the company grow and expand from two locations located in Michigan to six locations located in Michigan, Virginia and North Carolina.  Dan was key in the development of infrastructure for the new locations as well as lead partner in the acquisition of two of the new locations as they were tax and accounting practices.
